About the event
Anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and other mental health conditions are on the rise, as are suicide rates. Yet, despite our best efforts with therapy and pharmaceuticals, these trends continue to go in the wrong direction because the current approach is missing a massive part of the solution. Mental health isn't something to just treat. It's something to train through the pursuit of mind fitness.
Chris Irwin is a retired Navy SEAL who suffered from severe mental and physical chronic illness after his time in the military. Through an extensive journey of self-discovery, he overcame these conditions and now teaches mind fitness through his brand, RARE SENSE. He publishes content through Substack, including training, articles, book recommendations, and podcast episodes. His work is changing the paradigm and stigma around mental health and human performance.
Chris is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Cambridge in England. He's the former president of Kill Cliff, Inc., a healthy sports drink company, and the co-founder of the first CrossFit gym in the Virgin Islands. He now works as the Communications Director for the Navy SEAL Foundation and hosts their official podcast, On the X.
